A New Day
Tired of being outcasts for not being able to manage one measly rhyme, the three colors, orange, silver and purple banded together and decided to piant the town red. But only if mixed with yellow or blue. While the city slept, everything was transformed to one of the three hues. As the new day dawned, the purple squirrels crossed the silver grass past the row of orange automobiles waiting on the street nearby for the traffic lights to turn purple. Silver women walked orange dogs. And yet, many of the humans, even the purple ones, were so caught up in routine, they didn't notice anything different.
